Home with Fire Sprinkler SystemHome FIRE SPRINKLERS use only a FRACTION of the water used by The Fire Department
Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems are supplied by the Residential Water Main, (in most cases) where water comes into a home. The Fire Sprinkler System connects to the water main. In some systems the water flows through a Check Valve. A main water control valve is on the line that supplies both the domestic system and the Fire Sprinkler System. This Control Valve turns the water flow on and off in your entire home. Your Fire Sprinkler System may have different features. By turning off the water to your home will also turn off the water to your fire sprinkler system. Important: If your Fire Sprinkler System is monitored by a fire alarm service company, be sure to notify them before testing the system.
